I've been visiting my father in Utah, which has amazing jagged mountains and wonderful landscape. For my shots I'm in a helicopter. I was extremely nervous in the helicopter (I'm not a fan of heights). My favorite photo is the second one because, I like how the road leads to the jagged mountains.
The second one is a great example of "leading lines." This is what helps to make it a successful shot. Because the sun is behind you, it washes out the photograph a bit though, leaving you with a low contrast photo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great opportunity to be able to photograph from a helicopter. It looks like a great time of day as well. When you have the sun to your side, as in the third shot, it helps to define the landscape, giving you more texture.
I like that you chose to include an urban area in your shots. It might be considered a not so 'landscape-ish' thing to do, but it really adds some intrigue. The second is my favorite as well, the road forms a nice diagonal that pulls you into the scene.
ReplyDeleteLucky! It's amazing how different the view is from so much higher. These shots are great. They remind me of the shots of houses that get sold every few years when someone flies around in a helicopter and take shoots of houses. I like the second one also, like you said the road leading into the mountains is different from here, but beautiful in it's own way. Well hope you had fun in Utah. I enjoyed these, thanks and good job!
